This impressive and weighty stoneware jug decorated in rich blue, green and tan coloured glazes, was manufactured by Royal Doulton for W T Lamb and Sons to present as a Christmas gift to their clients, with the base of the jug being inscribed ‘With W T Lamb & Sons compliments Xmas 1912’.
W T Lamb was a Victorian brick manufacturer whose handmade bricks were used in many iconic British buildings including Westminster Cathedral, Hampton Court Palace and Claridges.
